Departure from Istanbul
We meet with the participants of the tour at 10:00 at Küçükçiftlik
Luna park and at 10:45 in front of Kadıköy Evlendirme Dairesi. After meeting with the tour guides and
drivers, we begin our tour following the route of Bolu, Amasya,
Erzurum that will last 20 hours and will cover at about 1430
kilometers.
2nd Day Sunday
Kars, Ani
Remnants, the Big Cathedral, Seljuk Palace, Havariyyun Church
We arrive in Kars in the morning. The participants, who prefer
to come by plane, will take Istanbul-Kars plane that will land
off from Atatürk Airport at 06:15 AM. The plane will fly
via Ankara
land in Kars at 9:30 and the participants will be greeted at the
airport by our guides.
After resting for a while in the hotel, we go to Ani Remains
that is built on the deep valley of Arpaçay, which draws the
border to Armenia, and visit the Big Cathedral,
Resimli Church,
Seljuk Palace and Menuçehr Mosque. Later on, we visit the
buildings made of rock at the time of Russians, Kars Castle and
Havariyyun Church, which is used as a mosque today, we finish
our tour in Kars. Accommodation: Kars
3rd Day Monday
The Mount Ağrı, Doğubeyazıt, İshakpaşa Palace, Muradiye Waterfalls,
Van Castle
We depart for Doğubeyazıt following the marvelous view of the Mount
Ağrı and visit İshakpaşa Palace finished in 99 years, consisting of
366 rooms, and which is noteworthy with its fine adornments and the
central heating unit that may be considered as the first example of
the ones used today.
After a break at Muradiye Waterfalls on the way to Van, we go to
watch the sunset from Van Castle, which has a history of 3000 years.

4th Day Tuesday
Van Lake, Akdamar Isle, the
Sacred Cross Church, Van
Lake, and Van Castle
We go to the ferryboat
to visit Akdamar Isle that is placed in the
Lake Van and considered as
one of the important religious places for Christianity. After
visiting the Sacred Cross Church, we enjoy our trip on the Lake Van,
1600 meters above the sea level. In the afternoon, we go to the
shuttles that wait for us in Tatvan in order to visit the biggest
Crater Lake in Turkey in the Mount Nimrod. Then we move into our
hotel. Accommodation: Tatvan.
5th Day Wednesday
Hasankeyf, Mardin, Deyrulzafaran Monastery, Kasımpaşa Medresseh
We depart for Hasankeyf. After visiting this historical city near
the river of Dicle, we depart for Mardin, which is famous for its
stone houses, medressehs, and mosques. After touring streets that
are connected with Abbaras (passages); Syrian Orthodox Churches; and
Zinciriye Medresseh, we will visit one of the most important
monasteries of the ancient Syrian religious community – the 1,500
year old Deyrulzafaran Monastery. After having watched the sunset in
Kasımiye Medresseh, we go to our hotel.

6th Day
Thursday
Harran, Şanlıurfa, Balıklı Lake, Halilürrahman Mosque, Rızvaniye
Mosque, Urfa Bazaar
Early in the morning, we move
to Harran, where the first university of the world was founded. We
will tour Harran, which maintains its traditional cubic houses, and
then go back to Şanlıurfa. In the city center, we will see the old
Culture Site that consists of buildings of old Urfa restored by
Foundation ŞURKAV. Then we will walk around Balıklı Lake,
Halil’ür-Rahman, Hasan Paşa, and Rızvaniye Mosques. In the
traditional bazaar, you will have the opportunity to buy souvenirs
such as multicolored Urfa linens, isot (a red pepper), chili
peppers, Turkish coffee, mırra coffee cups. At night, we have
organized a sıra night which has become a tradition in the Urfa
region.

7th
Day Friday
Atatürk Dam, Kahta, Karakuş Hill, Cendere Bridge, Arsemia, the Mount
Nimrod
We depart for Atatürk Dam and
go to its terrace where we can watch the dam. We will have our lunch
near the dam lake in Kahta and will go to see Karakuş Hill, Cendere
Bridge and Arsemia. After seeing the sculpture of the Gods on Mount
Nimrod (90 km. from Adıyaman) at an altitude of 2150 meters, we will
see the magnificent sunset between the sculptures on the west
terrace.

8th Day
Saturday
Gaziantep Archeology Museum, Gaziantep Bazaar
(We wake up early in the morning to watch the sunrise and after that
we depart for Gaziantep)
We depart for Gaziantep and visit Zeugma mosaic collection in
Gaziantep Museum. Our lunch is in the famous restaurant of
Gaziantep, İmam Çağdaş. We will not only taste the famous delicious
baklava, but also have a chance to do shopping in the traditional
bazaar. We depart for Istanbul.
9th Day Sunday
Arrival in Istanbul
We arrive in Istanbul in the morning and leave you at the points
where we have picked you up with the wish of seeing you again at
another tour.
