BLACKSEA PLATEAUS (KARADENIZ YAYLALARI)

1st
Day Sunday
We meet at Trabzon Airport. The plane lands off from
Istanbul on Sunday. After the flight that lasts 1 hour and 45
minutes, the plane lands in Trabzon. We arrive in our pension in
Ayder.
2nd
Day Monday
We begin the tour with Zil-Castle, Palovit Waterfalls, Çat and its
houses that are in Fırtına Valley. We have lunch at Palovit
Waterfalls and walk around the area. We visit Çinçiva Village.
3rd
Day Tuesday
Today, we go to Pokut and Sal Plateaus for walking. These plateaus
can only be reached by 4 x 4 vehicles. They are surrounded by wild
forests and have a fascinating view.
4th Day
Wednesday
We will visit Aşağı Kayran Plateau (1800m), Yukarı Kavran Plateau
(2200 m), Big Deniz, Small Deniz and Karadeniz Lakes. We will go to
the walking route by our cars. After walking at about three hours we
arrive in the area of lakes at 3100 meters. We may have a chance for
swimming there.
5th
Day Thursday
Today we will go to Huser Plateau, which is one of
the beautiful plateaus in the east Black sea region. We will only
climb a steep slope for about 20 minutes; the rest of the route we
will follow will be an easy one.
6th
Day Friday
We visit Laz Plateaus today by following the Valley of Avusor. We
will see Hacızeni, Peryatak, Dobaye, Taşlık Plateaus (1800-2500m),
which are so close to one another and have a lovely view.
7th
Day Saturday
We climb to Aşağı Çaymakçur Plateau in our cars.
After lunch, we walk back to Ayder. We will have a special
organization for dinner tonight and hope to have a good time.
8th
Day Sunday
We depart for Sumela Monastery in the morning. This monastery is
hidden among the high hills and built in 406 AD. (After the
monastery, we visit Ayasofya and the House of Atatürk) After that,
we leave you at the points where we have picked you up, with the
wish of seeing you again at another tour.

the tour
Information about weather and the climate
The weather may change quickly in the east of Black
Sea region. Compared to sea sides, plateaus may be colder in one or
two degrees. The weather conditions, however, do not impede the
tour.
Things that you should bring:
If
you do not plan to do trekking regularly, you do not have to buy
expensive professional equipments. However you have to bring a small
bag, sport shoes, sunglasses, a hat, sun cream, a flask, a raincoat,
and several pairs of socks, personal belongings and medicines.
